Newsletter September & October 2025
The colors and aromas of Autumn remind us of the incredible Creator that God is!
Truly the “heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1), and Psalm 98:8 says, “let the hills be joyful together.”

MINISTRIES – Once again, we are blessed to have several opportunities to bridge cultures and share the Gospel to the local community. Be it through speaking a word of kindness, sharing a verse, showing the love of Christ in a tangible way – they are all ways for Woods Outreach to minister to both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking communities.
Language Classes – Session 4 began on September 3rd with some new faces as well as those who had taken the summer off. We have added an extra element to the classes for those wanting to speak “just English” or “puro Espanol”. The library has granted us some extra hours on certain days, and this addition has been very well received! On September 10th, our Director of Operations, along with some of the faithful students offered the community a fun family book fair/game time, which was well attended, and prizes abounded.
Local Events – We were able to have a booth at the Two Rivers community “Baby Shower”. This was the first time for Woods Outreach to be represented at this annual event, and it was encouraging to hear such comments as: “you are a resource that is very much needed”; “I didn’t realize that you were in the area. What a great resource.” We were able to share the Gospel with many through the FREE children’s books, sharing with them about the availability of Bi-lingual Bible studies, and reconnecting with some of the Latins that have been a part of the ministry in one way or another. The wife of our Board Chairman made some beautiful Afghans that we were able to gift to all first-time moms. What a delight to see the happiness on their faces as they received these!
What’s ahead
LANGUAGE CLASSES - We are planning a “class trip” to Spain in mid-April. We have been in contact with our Spanish friends who have a guest house and ministry in Cordoba. We are raising money to go as well as for the ministry there, El Buen Samaritano. We will be staying with them for 10 days.
BOARD MEETINGS - What a blessing for our September meeting to be held in the library and then for all the Board members and some spouses to take part in the language class following the meeting. Everyone had a great time, and the students were able to mingle with the Board members.
COMMUNITY EVENTS - We are praying about some options for Christmas ministry, as the one door has “closed”. We have some other ideas on how to minister during the Christmas and/or King’s Day season.
What’s your part - “Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan.” John Bunyan
Praise the Lord for an ever-increasing presence in the local communities. The ministry is becoming known!
Praise the Lord for those committed to a class trip to Spain in April, ’26. Pray for this endeavor!
Praise the Lord for every student that comes through the class doors. What a blessing to know them and see them help one another.
Pray for the remaining classes (3 more this session) as the students prepare to do a presentation of what they have been learning.
Pray for wisdom in continuing community events.
Thank you FOR YOUR PRAYERS, SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT! - Woods Outreach ministry team
