1 Corinthians 3:6-9 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.”

What’s the latest

The past three months have been a bit quieter in the ministry, so as a result, we are including May in our update. We celebrated our youngest member of Woods Outreach on his second birthday and enjoyed a delicious meal with his family. We were also able to make his party into a joint event by having a simple “house-warming” for the family as they slowly settle into their own place. It’s quite a change for them to go from a rental to their own place. They are discovering ALL the challenges and yet blessings that come with being owners rather than tenants. They are learning a lot, and we are helping them as opportunities and needs arise.

Bible Studies – We are now holding these the second and fourth Saturday mornings of each month in the Two Rivers library, so this building has now become our new “home” for our regular ministries. It has been a real blessing to have this public and centrally located place in which to reach into the community. Woods Outreach is becoming known in the area, and we are trusting the Lord to touch hearts and continue to open doors of ministry opportunity. The other week we actually held the Bible study in the children’s section of the library, and the other families that were present were hearing the Gospel while their children played.

Language Classes – Session 2 ended on March 26th with a book fair and language activity. We were so encouraged with the attendance and also the leadership of some of the language students who did the bi-lingual activities. It is a real blessing to have the support of these students who love the Lord and desire to be a “missionary” right here in their “Judea.” We took the month of April off from language classes, but some of the students continued to meet on a regular basis on their own to continue honing their language skills until the next session which started on May 7th. This session will run through the end of July, a total of 13 weeks, our longest session yet. We are encouraged to see new students coming to class every week, and if we were to count all of the students who have come into Woods Outreach just through the language classes, it would be a good number. God is allowing us many opportunities to plant the Seed. We are grateful to Him for His working in this area of NE Wisconsin.

What’s ahead

As we continue to hold our regular events - Bi-lingual Bible Study and Language Classes, we hope to do some outdoor events with the arrival of warmer weather – a few fishing trips for the men, possibly a baseball game or two, and a picnic. These are great opportunities to connect with others that might not otherwise attend our regular ministries. We trust the Lord to lead us as we go day by day, week by week, planting, watering, and trusting the Lord for the Fruit.

What’s your part

It is no small thing to be in prayer for this ministry. We could not move forward without the Lord, and we are thankful to Him for your faithfulness in caring and praying. If you are in the area, please connect with us.

Praise the Lord for each person that God has brought into the Woods Outreach path.

Praise the Lord for opportunities to have conversations about the Lord in the public library.

Praise the Lord for His provision for all of the ministry needs. Donations continue to come in through various means, and our Donations’ bucket always has some cash in it after every language class. What a blessing!

Pray for the language students as they learn their respective languages. It isn’t always easy to learn another language.

Pray for open hearts to receive the Good News of the Gospel as it goes forth.

Thank you FOR YOUR PRAYERS, SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT! - Woods Outreach ministry team
